Mama’s Self-Care Tool Box

Resources and support to help mom feel her best

From the moment you find out you’re pregnant, you’re thrown into motherhood without any sort of guide book to help you along the way. There are physical challenges, emotional ups and downs, and an immense heaviness in the mental load of keeping it all together!

The the truth is, we all need support. Support from friends, family, our community (or “mom village” if you will!), and the professionals who are there to help. We like to think of this collection of resources as our self-care toolbox.

On any given day, Mama reaches for one of her tools to help get her through, which could mean turning on happy music and dancing in her kitchen until her mood lifts, running a hot bath and asking her partner to watch the kids for a half hour so she can hear herself think, skipping out on a social event to go for a long walk to keep herself healthy or tapping into a professional resource to seek a specific type of guidance.

We thought it would be helpful - as moms ourselves - to pull together a collection of tools that we find helpful, hoping that one of the resources below might help another Mama find the support she needs as well. Because let’s be honest, if Mama isn’t feeling her best, the whole family will feel a little lost.
